Rodent Treatment & Remediation

Rats and mice are a common problem throughout Florida and can cause serious issues within your home. Our rodent removal plan focuses on removing the pests and preventing them from re-entering the home.

Step 1-

Remediation

Remediation is the first step in the rodent treatment plan. Pest control technicians will bait and trap rodents within your home. This service will also include the sealing of any entry points, such as cracks and crevices. Technicians will check traps and dispose of all carcasses. Possible rodent follow-up appointments may need to be scheduled due to severity of issue.

Step 2-

Disinfection

Technicians will use specialized equipment to clean up all rodent droppings before treating the entire affected area with disinfectant spray.

Quarterly Rodent Bait Boxes

Quarterly Rodent Boxes are boxes filled with bait that provide an easier-to-access food source for the local rodents. They eat from the bait stations and then will go off to live the rest of their short lives.
  • We typically place 4 of these bait boxes around the perimeter of your home but will recommend more if your house is larger than 3K square feet.
  • About every 90 days, we revisit to refill these bait boxes. Rodents can be prevented by placing bait boxes around your house.
  • If an infestation is already present inside your home, a rodent exclusion and remediation is recommended to completely get rid of them. We recommend to have our technician assess the extent of the problem.

Rodent Exclusion & Remediation

  • If you are hearing noises (scratching, scampering, chewing), seeing droppings, or smelling something unpleasant, there’s a good chance you might have rodent roommates. If you even wonder if you have them, send us some pictures to Info@PestControlDunrite.com and we will help guide you.
  • If you think you have rodents, Dunrite will come out and assess your situation first and foremost. Not all rodent problems are equal. We will conduct a thorough inspection of your home looking for entry points, evidence of trails, droppings and explain the whole situation to you, the homeowner.

  • Once we know the problem, that’s when we can start fixing it. We will block any entry points and then set traps so that any critters that are now trapped, are caught, and removed.
  • In instances where rodents might have been present for quite some time, we also offer remediation of any insulation that might be ruined. We will remove the soiled insulation and replace it with spray foam insulation in its place.
